Referee:Pieter Vink (NED)
Date: June 14, 2008
Stadium: Innsbruck – Tivoli Neu
Kick-Off Time: 12:00pm (Est USA Time)

Spain began the tournament with a great performance and a huge win last Monday against Russia 4-1 in Innsbruck, in a game in which David Villa became the seventh player in history to achieve a ‘hat-trick’ in European Championship UEFA. After Villa’s triplet (20, 44, 75), Cesc Fàfbregas added the fourth one for Spain after Roman Pavlyuchenko scored for Russians in 86 minute.

Against Sweden, Spain will begin with same Squad list against Russia.

There will be no surprises as expected, Luis Aragones choses the same Starting Lineup against Russia last match witch is: Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Carles Puyol, Marchena, Capdevila; Senna, Xavi, Iniesta, Silva; Torres and Villa.

Luis Aragones Spain Coach:“It was his day off! You’re just lucky you didn’t catch me in the disco too. I like disco music, but prefer flamenco. I was worried you were going to show me something worse!” [Answer to a Swedish journalist question about Sergio Ramos]

The Spanish coach also showed a great humor in certain questions about Fernando Torres and his frustration from being substituted against Russia., he said: “I had a chat with him but there has never been a problem,Sometimes you build a paternal relationship with players and I’ve been with him a long time, but he’s only been in my sides on merit.”

On the other hand, Sweden win their three points after defeating the current champion Greece 2-0 in Salzburg thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimović (67) and Petter Hansson (72) gaols on the second half. Sweden Coach Lars Lagerbäck may make changes to his starting squad list for the game against Greece. But Ljungberg [Sweden Captin] does not share the same Idea idea: “I think the idea of resting players in a major tournament is a really sticky subject,” he added. “Let’s say we get an unfortunate result and Russia win – then having rested someone would feel like an unnecessary risk.”
The Swedish captain, Ljungberg, has played with Arsenal’s star Cesc Fàbregas and against Liverpool Giant Fernando Torres in the Premier League England, he think that the experience of these players in England has been very positive for them and for SPAIN, he aded: “Torres was a brilliant striker at [Club] Atlético de Madrid but I simply have to applaud what he’s achieved in his first season in England [with Liverpool FC] because it has been amazing. Few footballers adapt to the physical style as quickly as he managed. As for Cesc, I know how good he is and what is worth remembering is that Spain played equally well with or without him against Russia. That’s because they are a top-class side.”
